The figures are in and it’s official – the staycation is back on trend. In an article published by the Telegraph last month, statistics show that that more and more people are choosing to holiday at home, rather than going abroad. I live in Suffolk, which is a coastal county with lots of cute little villages as well as a few bigger towns. I live in one of those town, and we love nothing more than our waterfront. Lined with restaurants, bars and local businesses, it’s modern, picturesque and the perfect place to while away summer days. Luckily for me, when I headed down to shoot this first jewellery look with ChloBo, there was a maritime festival on.
Stalls lined the waterfront, selling all sorts from independently brewed gin to sweets and crafts, of course backed up by a fair few gourmet burgers and beer tents. Local artists played to buzzing crowds around a stage, whilst the sun shone down and people embraced their Sunday with both hands. The day typified at-home happiness, and that’s what lies at the core of a staycation.

I’m a long time lover of the ChloBo brand. From their mix and match charm bracelets to pendant necklaces, stackable rings and dainty earrings, their range of gold, rose gold and silver jewellery are endlessly personal and pretty. Their latest campaign looks to highlight the beauty of staycation style, bringing to light the British theme and culture of ChloBo. Whilst all of their pieces are globally inspired, they’re all handmade right here in the ole’ UK.
So making the most of the staycation theme, I’ll be showing off three different Chlobo jewellery looks in three different staycation settings – the first, of course, being the maritime festival. The day itself was pretty hot so I could have made my life easier by opting for a skirt or shorts, but these are my favourite pair of blue jeans so as always, they were hard to resist. Paired with one of the latest additions to my wardrobe – this light, flared sleeve tunic – and the perfect pair of navy heeled shoes, I had a clean and simple ensemble that was crying out for that little extra touch. And that’s where the rose gold comes in…
If you guys have been following me for a while, you’ll know that sterling silver jewellery is my thing. It’s all I’ve ever worn, and my jewellery boxes are bursting with different bits and bobs that I’ve collected (and then lost and found) over the years. But something new is happening in my life, and that thing is rose gold. I haven’t chosen rose gold, rose gold has chosen me, and we’re currently in the midst of a beautiful affair that I hope, will turn into a long last relationship.
The collection you see here is the Luna Soul collection, featuring rose gold hardware with a dash of sterling silver, as well as Grey Agate (a stone that balances energies and brings good fortune) and Labradorite (a calming and healing stone known as the stone of the spiritual awakening). I’ve layered up various bracelets and popped on a few of the galactic inspired rings, as well as incorporating their rose gold hamsa hand necklace.
