LFW: Day One

So I’m currently laying in bed at the Malmaison Hotel on Day 3 of LFW, cocooned in a faux fur blanket and contemplating my third coffee of the day whilst Hannah, who I’m staying with, is at a very fancy, very high-end show. It’s safe to say that our afternoons have panned out very differently, but in this beautiful, very welcome snippet of down-time, I’m seizing the opportunity to share my first look of LFW with you.

Friday was set to be my longest day, with a breakfast, an event (which didn’t happen because I turned up A DAY EARLY) and an afternoon tea review with Liv, so I knew I wanted to opt for something versatile, comfortable and easy to travel around London in. I haven’t shopped in the Missguided Petite section for donkey’s years, but during a last minute, panicked shopping session, I stumbled upon the pair of trousers that I have been searching for FOREVER. Black, frilled and all kinds of fabulous, I paired them with a low-maintenance knit that still packed the *fashurn* factor with lace sleeve detailing and a distinct cricket vibe. Side note: my brother used to play cricket throughout school and I can’t wear anything like this without feeling like I’m trialling for the team (team? squad? cricket gang?).

Snapshot moment: Afternoon Tea

For each LFW round-up I’m going to include a little snapshot moment of what I got up to behind the scenes, whether that be eating, socialising or checking out new spots in London. For Day 1 I headed to 11 Cadogan Gardens with the love of my life Liv, and we enjoyed a Romeo and Juliet Afternoon Tea complete with cocktails and teeny tiny sandwiches. Liv also surprised me with a belated birthday present, so all in all it was a 10/10 afternoon.
