Here's the deal: Keiran is usually pretty good at buying me gifts, but sometimes he needs a little guidance, often for his sake more than mine. Whilst I think I'm easy to buy for (I'm a marketeers dream - I want everything), K would probably disagree, and that's why I've very selfishly pulled together this girlfriend's gift guide, chock-a-block with items I would be more than happy to find underneath the Christmas tree. If the lad in your life finds festive shopping for you less than breezey too, then feel free to link him in this direction. And hey, who knows, maybe our respective other-halves will amass in the comments section and swap ideas that we can then pinch for ourselves...
1. Pink Print Cotton Duvet Set, £52 for a double
Bedding is one of those items that I love to buy, but never receive as a gift. Possibly due to me being ~ particular ~, but let's blame my gift-givers instead. This millenial pink splatter set from La Redoute doesn't go with the decor of my bedroom at all, but I can't stop thinking about it so, y'know, what's a girl to do?
2. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, £73.50
I was kindly given a bottle of this beautiful fragrance by Keiran's Dad last year, and I've been hooked ever since. Despite being the perfect everyday fragrance, the long-lasting scent only needs a few pumps so the 50ml bottle has lasted me an entire year. Soft, fresh and alluring.
Last month the Glossier hype took social media by storm, so what better way to get introduced to the cult brand than with this beautiful gift set featuring three of their most popular products?
For the lady who likes a little bit of luxury in every aspect of her life, the Slip Silk Eye Masks are made from the highest grade mulberry silk and are available in a range of colours. Perfect for completing a PJ set or just as a whisper of something special.
5. Hopscoth Rose & Vanilla Bath Salts, £22
Bubble bath is great and all, but handmade bath salts featuring rose petals and vanilla? Much, much better. Even better, these products are natural, vegan, not tested on animals and designed and made in London, so they're perfect for the good human in your life.
6. Eden Bra, £16 and Eden High Waisted Briefs, £10
You might think lingerie is a risky choice for a Christmas gift, but I LOVE receiving bra and brief sets as an extra special treat. This high-waisted brief and triangle bra set is pretty enough to be a cute gift, but practical enough to be worn on your average, 9-5 day. Tick, tick, tick.
This is exactly the kind of bougie, over-the-top cushion that would be right at home in my bedroom, and exactly the kind of gift that the lady in your life won't be expecting. Perfect for many an insta shot and great for jazzing up otherwise plain bedding.
Scarves are no longer the gift of clueless extended family members - scarves are cute af (and that's the official viewpoint, so quote me). This red check mohair scarf will put the usual black and grey suspects to shame, plus it will be softer than some freshly cooked gnocchi.
9. Striped Heart Pyjama Set, £22
If you're not buying a lady in your life pyjamas, what are you buying her? Stripes are an easy winner for everybody, and the shorts instead of trousers means these are a little sassier than usual (plus, for those of us who like to sleep in the n00d, these are the perfect winter wearers).
Keeping with the red theme, this simple chunky knit in a pillarbox hue is universally flattering and easy to dress either up or down. Red knits are a wardrobe staple for me, so unwrapping another from under my tree certainly wouldn't go amiss.
Why are mugs such welcome gifts? Not sure. Will I stop hoping for them in my stocking? Never. This ceramic number is millenial af with soft pink and gold splodges, and will surely make any desk situation 100 x prettier.
12. Monica Vinader Stacking Ring, £85
Keiran and my brother Joe clubbed together to surprise me with a Monica Vinader ring last year, and it's one of my most treasured items. Now I have my eye on the iconic MV stacking rings, and I'm particularly taken by this Orange Carnelian stone.
13. Mint Green Bralette, £24 and Matching Satin Shorts, £19
If you want to go down the pyjama route but you're looking for something a little more ~ luxury ~, this matching bralette and satin shorts set screams high-end quality without the high-end price tag. Also available in baby pink, if that's more to your hunnie's taste.
Snuggly, cute, and potently on-trend, the teddy coat is ~ the ~ outerwear piece of the season. They're selling like hot cakes at the moment but this Topshop number is still knocking about in a few sizes, and would make the ideal gift for the fashionista in your life.
15. Chunky Knit Bobble Cushion, £24.99
The neutral tone of this cushion cover means that it can happily sit amongst a whole host of different decors, but the bobbly texture gives it an off-the-moment boho update and instantly stops it from being boring.
16. Mint Green Velvet Cushion, £6.99
More cushions? More cushions. I love the mint green hue of this bargain velvet number, but it also comes in a huge range of other colours so you'll be sure to find one that tickles your lady's fancy.
17. Goodnight Pillow Mist, £15
I didn't think I needed pillow mist until this Neal's Yard lovely found its way into my life. A couple of spritzes onto my pillowcase before bed settles me in for a super restful snooze. Ideal for the nap-lover in your life.
Both myself and Oprah have deemed these slippers as absolute must-haves. Whose opinion is most important I will leave up to you, but if there's a lady in your life that loves warm feet and a little bit of luxury at the same time, then these £49 babies are a total steal. I'd recommend sizing up though - even as a gal with tiny feet, my normal size is a bit snug.
19. Navy Blue Astrology Sign Pyjama Set, £28
Is there a dreamer in your life? Loves star signs, moon cycles and ~ energy ~? Grab them a pair of astrology pyjamas to match their mood and keep them looking cute af whilst chilling too.
20. Jacquard Weave Storage Basket, £24.99
Do you know what I love more than cushions? Baskets. Buy baskets first, find uses for them later - that's my motto. This jacquard number is currently set up in my bedroom as a home for all things cozy, from blankets to slippers.
21. Lucy Williams x Missoma Coin Necklace, £79
The Lucy Williams x Missoma collections have become cult classics in the blogosphere and beyond, and luckily for us, they've released a line of new Roman-themed pieces just in time for gift-giving season. I've got my eye on this diddy coin necklace which would make ~ the ~ perfect everyday wearer.
22. Diptyque Gardenia Candle, £45
Because when else are we going to own expensive candles without feeling totally guilty that we are essentially burning our money away? Diptyque are a safe bet when going high-end in the candle department, and a beautiful floral scent like this Gardenia number will always go down a treat.
23. Magnolia Phone Case, £13.99
Affordable phone cases that actually look cute and do their job are like gold dust, but I had this Magnolia protector on my phone for nearly a year before I got bored and swapped it out for another from the same brand. A 10/10 stocking filler.
£36 for bed socks may seem like a crazy notion, but Christmas is the perfect time for OTT kisses of luxury and the everyday-made-special items like this are exactly what I look forward to receiving. Available in a range of colours and also perfect for Mums.
25. Antipodes Manuka Honey Mask, £24.99
This is my go-to Sunday face mask. It's a cult product which has amassed legions of followers online, and it's the perfect hit of deep cleansing and moisturising to make you really feel like you have your shit together (or at least fake the feeling, anyway). Wrap up with a foundation brush for application and a bar of her favourite chocolate for a planned evening of unwinding.
26. Set of 3 Botanical Prints, £28
I love the character that prints bring to a room, and this set of three for only £28 is perfect for a touch of understated elegance. Pop each of the prints in mismatched, Anthropologie-esque frames for extra points.
