As a girl who likes to keep her style simple, it’s obscene how obsessed with florals I am right now (and even dresses, but I’ll save that for another time). It’s unsurprising then that I couldn’t resist this matching neck tie (not actually a co-ord but the prints are nearly exactly the same). You can either wear it around your neck or in your hair – I’ve seen a lot of people plaiting scarves and neck ties into their hair, but honestly, if my hair gets straightened in the morning before work I’m lucky, let alone getting some intricate braid on the go. Nevertheless, co-ordinating your printed neck tie to a portion of your outfit offers a simple way to freshen up an otherwise simple look. It’s the little details that count!
And you all know I love jeans. When am I ever going to put a practical outfit together that doesn’t feature jeans? This pair are in the fit of the season – the straight leg – and come from the New Look Petite section so are perfect for my chunky stumps. The quality of the denim is surprisingly good for such an affordable piece, and I love the light wash of the denim. Top marks from me.
If you didn’t know, New Look have just launched a new section of their website called #ThisIsNewLook.
