This is somewhat a repetition of my previous suit post, but I couldn’t help but share this beautiful oversized grey coat with you. I love a grey coat – in fact I spend my time building up quite a collection. From the textured ASOS number that you guys see all the time to the ASOS petite tailored babe that I fashioned in my ‘How To Make Socks a Fashion Accessory’ post, time and time again they keep on a’ coming back. With an almost boucle texture and lighter grey tone, this number from Lost Ink is perfect for transitioning into S/S. Here I’m reaching peak blogger status by fashioning the ever-cool but entirely inappropriate coat-cape over my lovely Boohoo suit from my latest post, and despite the fact that if there is even the hint of a breeze any coat-cape will come flying off, it still looks chic as fuck.
Grey coats scream effortless cool. Throw them on over anything and they look sleek as fuck, and let’s not even get into how beautiful the grey/camel combo is. I personally love oversized pieces to add an extra effortless edge, but tailored pieces look great with a crisp white top and simple black trousers. Textures and tones play a big role in the grey coat and there is a lot to choose from, but whatever you do choose, a grey coat is sure to add that extra dimension to your outfit. Whether you’re opting for relaxed blue denim or an all black monochrome ensemble, the right outerwear can tie it all together. I’ve popped some of my faves down below, so why not TREAT YO SELF?
