You know you’ve stopped making an effort when colleagues and clients remark with surprise that “you look nice ~ TODAY ~”, the one day you’ve decided to slap some fake tan on and a bit of mascara. 😂 Makes me laugh every time. Like yes I am 80% troll but 20% is saucy ok???

Moving the bedroom around was a strong lockdown choice. One of my strongest yet, I think. Makes me wonder why I didn’t do it sooner, and why I find myself asking “why didn’t I do that sooner?” after so many decisions to shake things up. Usually it comes down to the fear of wasting time, which is ironic given that I waste so much time ~ not ~ doing the things I want to do because of the unknown (I like to be prepared for all outcomes, okay? Especially the catastrophic). But this is a caption about bedrooms, not bigger things. You - yes you, with your fine face and fancy brain - is it perhaps time for a change?

Valentine’s Day is not cancelled. It’s very much alive and poised in anticipation, breathing and heaving, rooted in the same romance that usually conducts a symphony of glasses clinking over half-chewed plates and the intimate buzz of zips unzipping.

I of all people should know. I’m a Valentine’s baby after all, and us Valentine’s babies have a direct line to Cupid. His bow is drawn back, arrow pointed, ready to dunk you into lust or love or whatever it turns out to be.
