Adidas Superstars have always been my go to when it comes to trainers, but now there are some new huns in the town, and they’ve come in the form of the latest Nike Cortez’s. Minimal, super comfy and with a definitively sporty edge, they’ve barely been off my feet since they turned up at my door. ASOS asked me to style up a pair of Nike Cortez’s with some of their newest pieces, so in true Chloe style, I of course kept it monochrome.
I’m desperately trying to flesh out my wardrobe with more statement tops at the moment. Y’know, the kind of thing you can look smart in during the day and dress up for dinner out? At the moment I go from t-shirt to deep plunge bodysuit, so I’ve been on the hunt for satin pyjama tops and structured shirts in attempts to nail smart casj like you’ve never seen. Cue this BEAUTIFUL white denim ASOS top. Oversized with a peplum waist, it’s business in the front and party in the back as the split detail fastens with two bow ties. I kept it more casual for this day-time look, but I’m envisioning a pair of black cropped trousers and pointed heels to dress it up for an eve.
Also, say hello to a bit of my DIY genius! I chopped the bottoms off of these ASOS Florence Straight Jeans in an attempt to make them wearable (I think I ordered a 32 leg for some reason, which is nuts considering I need about a 26), but accidentally chopped too far, so they’re more like culottes now than jeans. This was actually a beautiful twist of fate because I love the super relaxed fit, and they’re much more suitable for the onset of summer. Just don’t ask me to tailor anything for you any time soon…
