If you’re not feeling the Prairie Girl trend but still want to indulge in some ruffles and lace? Then the Victoriana trend might be for you. With a focus on high necks and delicate detailing, you can easily work Victoriana into your wardrobe by picking up a few staple tops and keeping things monochromatic – black and white rules. With S/S coming up I decided to go down the airy fairy route and opted for this white bib-design blouse from Dizen Clothing. The great thing about Victoriana is that although it’s based upon lots of delicate detailing, you can keep your look so simple by just pairing a feature top with black jeans and staple accessories. All black also works really well for amped up witchy vibes, and if you want to nod towards Prairie, you could always rock the all-white look and switch between trends by changing up your accessories (B&W for Victoriana, western-themed for Prairie). Google ‘Victoriana Trend’ for more inspo, and as this trend first made waves on the Catwalks last A/W 15, you’re bound to be able to find some sale steals on the web too. I’ve featured a few of my faves below – let me know if you decide to style something up!
